Linear Bearing
Recirculating ball linear bearings enable smooth, precise, low-friction motion along hardened ground shafts.
Technical Overview
Linear Bearings (linear ball bushings) provide smooth, low-friction motion along a hardened and ground cylindrical shaft. Rows of recirculating balls in a polymer cage provide point contact with the shaft, resulting in extremely low friction regardless of travel speed — unlike plain bushings which require adequate lubrication velocity.
They are available in closed (LM/LME) and open (LMO/LUU) configurations. The open type allows the bearing to be used on shafts mounted to surfaces. Standard series (LM) and long series (LME/LUU) are available for applications requiring greater load distribution over shaft length.
AMFO Traders stocks SKF and IKO linear bearings in the most common shaft diameter range for immediate supply.

View all →Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The most widely used bearing type globally. Handles both radial and axial loads in both directions with minimal friction.
Self Aligning Ball Bearing
Two rows of balls with a spherical outer raceway. Automatically compensates for shaft misalignment and angular deflection.
Angular Contact Ball Bearing
Designed for combined radial and high axial loads. The contact angle defines the axial-to-radial load ratio.
