Cylindrical Roller Bearing

Cylindrical rollers provide very high radial load capacity and low friction — ideal for high-speed precision applications.

Technical Overview

Cylindrical Roller Bearings use cylindrical rolling elements to achieve a very high radial load capacity in a compact envelope. The line contact between rollers and raceways distributes load over a larger area than ball bearings, giving significantly higher radial load ratings for a given bore size.

The designation prefix determines whether the bearing can support axial loads: N and NU types are free to slide axially (locating one direction each), NJ and NF types have a loose rib on the inner or outer ring, and NUP types can handle axial loads in both directions. This makes them very flexible for different shaft arrangement requirements.

AMFO Traders stocks SKF, FAG, and AMFO Bearing cylindrical roller bearings across the full NU/NJ/N/NUP range.
